Description

This house, now a shop, dates to the 16th century, with alterations in the 19th century. It is timber-framed and has a painted brick ground floor, with painted tilehanging above. The roof is tiled, with crosswings to the rear; the ridges of these crosswings appear over the ridge line to the left and right. A shafted brick stack with oversailing courses is located on the right wing towards the rear. The building has three gabled dormers. It is one and a half storeys high, with an irregular arrangement of three windows on the ground floor. These windows are glazing bar sashes in open boxes, with a large casement window to the left. A panelled door is situated to the right of centre, featuring a transom light and a flat hood supported by brackets.
