Description

No. 7 South Street is a house from the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the late 19th century. It features painted mathematical tiles on a cement plinth and tile-hung gables. The sides are tile-hung above brick ground floors. The roof is plain tiled, with brick stacks at both ends and one on the ridge to the left of the center. The building has three tall return gables, with a short gap to the right above the entrance. It is two storeys high with attics and has a three-window front arranged in a 2-1 rhythm, featuring tripartite sashes. The entrance is located to the right and has a half-glazed door set within a pilastered surround, topped with a flat hood supported by brackets.
