Description
St Michael's Church of England Primary School is a mid-19th century building located on St Michael's Street. It is a single storey structure with an attic, featuring two long gabled wings connected by a short cross link. The high-pitched roof is adorned with alternating bands of plain and fishscale tiles. The walls are made of flint, complemented by a yellow brick cornice, quoins, window dressings, and a plinth. The main east front has six bays, with five windows and a porch located in the third bay from the left. The three-light windows include wooden mullions and transoms. The gabled porch contains a door with a square label raised in the center, designed to hold a coat of arms, although it is uninscribed. St Michael's Church of England School, St Michael's Church, and Jessamine Cottage form a cohesive group.
