Description

This barn, located immediately north of the farmhouse at Windridge Farm, dates from the late 17th century. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a plain tile roof. There is a 19th-century slate-roofed lean-to that includes four horizontal sash windows. Inside, the barn comprises six bays and showcases clasped purlin roof construction, with diagonal braces connecting the ties to the purlins. It also has a continuous mid-height rail and curved wind braces. Some restoration work from the 18th and 19th centuries is evident.
