Description
Holly Bush Public House is a 17th-century public house with a timber frame and roughcast exterior painted white. It features a plain tile roof with two gabled dormers built off the wall plate and is one and a half storeys high. There is a massive brick external stack on the west gable and a narrow early 19th-century plastered extension to the east, which has a slate roof. The main block includes a 10/10-pane sash window to the left of the door and a casement window to the right, along with casement dormers. A 20th-century porch has been added. Inside, the building has two bays and a lateral stair located in an unheated bay at the rear, with exposed chamfered ceiling beams. The stair enclosure is clad in broad, horizontal planks, featuring plank doors leading to the staircase and a cellar underneath. There is also a 20th-century rear extension on the west side.
