Description

This is a range of barns located on the north side of Plaistowes Farm, dating from the 18th century, with the eastern barn likely being from the earlier part of that century. The barns are weatherboarded, with the road-facing elevation covered in corrugated iron, and they feature plain tile roofs. The eastern barn is slightly larger and has a central gabled porch on its southern side, flanked by lean-to ranges. The western barn consists of four bays and has a similar porch on the penultimate bay. There is a lean-to that runs continuously with the eastern barn, and the interior includes a clasped purlin roof.
