Description

Little Daneswick is a house, formerly a farmhouse, dating from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed with an exposed timber frame and painted brick, with later extensions added around 1930 and 1983 – the former being painted brick, and the latter brick and timber frame. The roof is covered in plain tiles with a rebuilt central ridge stack. The original house comprises three bays, featuring four leaded casement windows. The interior retains roll-moulded beams in the centre bay, and an inglenook fireplace between the centre and left bays, which formerly contained a staircase. The roof structure includes clasped purlins with a wide tie and roof braces.
