Description

This is a well and wellhouse located on the roadside to the east of the gateway to The White House, dating from the 18th century, although the well itself may be older. The structure is built of red brick in Flemish bond and features a steeply pitched roof that is covered in creeper. It is a small square building situated opposite the church, with the ridge running north to south. The entrance is on the west side near the south corner, accessed by a boarded door in a heavy frame. There is a painted notice on the door that prohibits the use of the water for drinking purposes.
