Description

The Thatched Cottage is a 17th-century house located on Weston Warrens Green, facing east and set back from the road. It is timber-framed with a black projecting sill and roughcast exterior, featuring a steep-pitched, half-hipped thatched roof. The house has a 1 1/2-storey, 3-cell layout with an internal chimney plan, positioned a third from the south end and featuring attached shafts. The front (east) elevation has a central 3-light dormer window above the entrance, flanked by 2-light casement windows on either side. No other windows are visible on this front. The south gable displays a door and two 2-light casement windows on the ground floor, with a 2-light casement window above. A similar upper window is present in the north gable, along with two ground floor windows.
