Description

Old Quail Farm is a 17th century timber-framed and plastered house located to the south-east of the churchyard on Hempstead Church Road. The building has an L-shaped plan with wings extending to the north and east and stands two storeys high. The upper storey juts out on the south front, and there is a gable at the east end. It features casement windows and tiled roofs. The east wing has an original central chimney stack with grouped diagonal shafts set on a rectangular base with a sunk panel. On the west front, which faces the churchyard, there are three gabled dormers.
