Description
Farm buildings at Friends Green Farm date from the 17th century and include 19th-century flanking structures. They feature a timber frame on black masonry bases and are covered in dark weatherboarding. The barn in the middle has a steep corrugated aluminium roof, while the stable to the south has a tiled roof and the shed to the north has a slated roof. The tall barn has three bays and faces east, with a double doorway in the middle bay. It has jowled posts, long curved braces supporting cambered tie-beams, and purlins that are clasped by collars. At the north end, there is a narrower two-bay open-fronted shed facing east, and at the south end, there is a small stable with two stable doors on the east side.
