WESTON FRIENDS GREEN TL 22 NE 5/111 East Barn and attached - Outbuilding at Friends Green Farm

GV II

Barn and outbuilding. Early C18. Timber frame on red brick sills, dark weatherboarded barn, exposed frame with roughcast panels in outbuilding. Steep old red tile roofs with hips at N end of barn and W end of outbuilding. A tall 3-bays barn on E side of yard facing W with double doors in middle. Unjowled posts, straight braces to tie-beams, single purlin in each slope clasped by a collar with inclined queen-struts. Face-halved bladed scarf joints in wallplate. Long lower outbuilding runs NW from N part of front of barn, used for garage and storage.
