Description
This is a barn with an attached outbuilding located to the left (northwest) of Stanfield's Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. The structure is timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, sitting on a red brick plinth. The barn features a half-hipped red plain tiled gambrel roof with a midstrey, and a grey slate outshot. To the front left, there is a two-bay cart lodge. The outbuilding has a red pantiled roof that is hipped to the right. The barn consists of four bays and has a queen strut side purlin roof, with hanging knees supporting the tie beams. The walls are braced through, and there is a halved and bladed top plate scarf. This barn forms the northeastern range of the farmyard complex, which includes other listed buildings.
