Description

The stable, now used as a store, dates to around 1700. It is a two-story building of two bays facing north, with a lane at the rear. The construction is timber frame, with a projecting red brick sill and a dark weatherboarded upper part. The lower part is filled in with red brick, and there are modern extensions to the east and west. The roof is steeply pitched, covered with old red tiles and is half-hipped. A single-story, one-bay extension to the east features an exposed timber frame and a jowled corner post. A two-bay, single-story extension to the west is now faced with red brick. The building is included on the list for its group value.
