Description
The stable building, now used for storage, is located to the north-east of Jealott's Hill Farmhouse and dates from the early 17th century, with some alterations. It features a timber frame with old elm boarding and has an old tile roof that is half hipped on the north side and hipped on the south side, extending over a later, lower addition. The building has a long rectangular plan consisting of seven framed bays, with elm-boarded partitions in the third and fifth bays from the south. The south-west front has five fixed light windows of various sizes, which are irregularly spaced. Inside, there is a queen strut roof with clasped purlins at the south end and a queen post roof at the north end, along with straight braces and many re-used timbers.
