Brewhouse Cottage in yard to west of 12/203 The Bury with adjacent belfrey building 27.5.68 (formerly listed as the Old Brewhouse at St Paul's Walden Bury) GV II

Brewhouse now a cottage, with adjacent belfry building. C18 brewhouse, belfrey probably late C19. Red brick in Flemish-bond with old red tile roofs. Boarded wooden belfrey rises above outhouse to N of brewhouse. A small single-storey formal brewhouse with symmetrical 3-windows S side with 3-centred arched heads and Gothick tracery to 2-lights wooden casements. Corbelled eaves course carried across E gable which has entrance under similar arch with boarded door and traceried fanlight. Outhouse to N lower with slate roof tall belfry with swelling on all 4 sides at mid-height. Open top stage and wind-vane. Projecting gabled lucarne on N side of house.
