Barn. Mid C17. Timber frame on brick sill, dark weatherboarded with steep pitched roof now slated. A tall, wide-span, 3-bays barn facing E with gabled porch to middle bay. Jowled posts, mid-height rail jointed in-line. Curved tension-braces to middle bay and end walls. Central post to each gable. Long straight braces to tie-beams. Clasped-purlin roof with 2 purlins on each slope, the upper supported on high collar, the lower on straight inclined queen posts. Winnowing door to rear. Louvred openings at eaves in end bays. Face-halved bladed scarf joints in wallplate. Included for group value.
