Description
The south-west barn at Bury Farm is an 18th-century structure. It features a timber frame that is dark weatherboarded and has a steep old red tile roof. This tall barn has a wide span and consists of five bays, facing east. It includes double doors in the middle bay and a winnowing door at the rear. The barn has unjowled posts and a mid-height rail. The roof is a clasped purlin design, with two purlins on each slope. There are straight wind-braces positioned above and below the upper purlin in the second and fourth bays. This barn is included for its group value.
