Description
Home Farmhouse is a house dating from the 18th century, with mid-19th century alterations. The central part of the building features brick walling in Flemish bond, with cambered arches over the openings, a first-floor band, and a plinth. The northern extension is built in English bond, while the former brewhouse is constructed of coarse flint with brick quoins and bands. The roof is plain tiled and includes two gabled dormers. Originally, it was a small two-storey house with an attic and a symmetrical front of three windows. It has been extended at both ends by one window each, with the taller northern side projecting slightly. Additional 19th-century extensions include a two-storeyed cross-wing on the south side and a long narrow brewhouse on the north side. The windows are casements, and there is a plain doorway. Above the brewhouse, there is a ventilator topped with a pyramid tile roof.
