House. Mid to late C16, altered c.1700, part rebuilt and extended in C20. Timber frame with part brick rebuilding and extension. Steeply pitched tiled roof. Originally an unheated crosswing of a larger house or a small unheated 2 bay open hall, heated and altered to form a 2 cell lobby entry. 2 storeys and attics. Ground floor: C20 red brick with 3 light flush frame leaded casements. Central entrance, plank door with shaped brackets to small hood. First floor has comb pargetted render with small 3 light flush frame leaded casements up to eaves level. Central axial ridge stack inserted. Second stack to rear of right bay. Bargeboards to left gable end with a 2 light attic casement. Taller C20 brick wing extends to rear left with machine tiles, shallower pitch. 1 storey C20 gabled outshut on right gable end. Interior: chamfered bearers, clasped purlin roof with curved windbraces. (RCHM Typescript).
