5/59 Barn at Priorswood Farm 800 metres W of Watersplace Farm north of B1004

Double barn. C18, N part possibly earlier. Timber frame weatherboarded. Steep hipped roof tiled at rear but front clad in corrugated asbestos. Red brick sill wall, higher in S part. 2 3-bay barns built end-to-end facing E. N part has opposed double doors in the middle bay; S part has double doors in the S end bay and a high pitching door into its N bay. Clasped purlin roof with long straight braces from unjowled posts to the tie- beams. Wall rails staggered. Granary inserted in N bay of N part with an upper door. The barn stands within a complex moated site.
