Description

The Kitchen Garden Wall to Bengeo Hall is an 18th-century boundary wall located in Hertford. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and stands approximately 3 meters high, stretching about 70 meters along the St Leonard's Road frontage. The wall returns east along the rear boundary of St Leonard's Close and features a downward ramped coping along the drive to Bengeo Hall. Together with the wall to the yard, which is included with Bengeo Hall Cottage, this wall enclosed the walled Kitchen Garden of the Hall and contributes to the setting of Bengeo Hall.
