Description
This is an 18th-century wall that forms the south-east boundary of Church Green, extending from number 6 to the vehicle entrance of number 8, known as Spinners. The wall is constructed of red bricks and lime mortar in both English and Flemish bond. It measures approximately 35 metres in length and stands 2.5 metres tall. The street side features a chamfered plinth, and there is a reduction in thickness at the upper level, which includes two courses of chamfered plinth bricks on the south-east side. The top of the wall is finished with triangular coping bricks. There are three buttresses on the street side, dating from the 19th and 20th centuries. Additionally, there is a plain boarded door located 1.50 metres from number 6, which is 0.90 metres wide, with the wall continuing over the lintel.
