Description
The wall forming the street boundary of Number 9 extends 25 metres along the south-west boundary and dates from the 18th or 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond. The section that forms the street boundary runs from the south corner of the property for approximately 18 metres to the northeast. At the south-west end, there is a gateway about one metre wide, flanked by square brick piers on either side and topped with a segmental brick arch. The wall terminates at another square brick pier and has an inward splay for the vehicle entrance, with additional brick piers on each side. It features a chamfered plinth, with stone and concrete copings on the piers, and copings made of moulded V-bricks on the wall. The section along the south-west boundary has a similar coping.
