Description

This is a section of garden wall located to the south of Howden Hall, dating from the 18th century. The wall is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond and measures approximately 75 metres in length, extending from the corner with Station Street at the west end to the gates at the east end. It stands about 3 metres high and features a central round-headed doorway flanked by rectangular panels. On either side of the central doorway, there are additional round-headed doorways, each adorned with pilasters and architraves set within projecting wall sections. The wall is topped with flat copings.
