Description

This is a mid-18th century house located on the north side of Hailgate in Howden. The house is constructed of colour-washed brick in English bond, with a corrugated iron roof. It features a central entry with a through passage. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The doorway is positioned off-centre and has a 20th-century door and overlight. All windows are 20th-century fixed windows set beneath wedge lintels, with the exception of a blocked window in the center of the first floor. A raised gable end is located to the right. The roof is very steeply pitched, and the end stacks have been rebuilt.
