Description
Totts Cottage is a house, now divided into two homes, dating from the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber frame covered in roughcast on a stucco plinth and has a steep old red tile roof. The building is two storeys high with attics and follows a three-unit central-chimney plan, facing west. It has a large central chimney located a third of the way from the south end and a very large external chimney at the north end. The west front is irregular, with two doors positioned close together near the north end and small casement windows with two and three lights. The doors are made of planks with broad frames and flat hoods supported by shaped brackets. There is a rear lean-to attached to No 1, and a four-light attic casement window is located at the south end, positioned over a dripboard at the eaves level.
