Description
Marshalls Cottage and Monkhams Cottage is a house that has been divided into two homes. It dates from the 17th century or earlier and features a timber frame with a plastered first-floor front. The building has a steep half-hipped roof that is now covered with slate. There is a central chimney made of red brick and an external gable chimney located at the north near the front corner. It may have originally had a continuous front jetty on the west side. The structure has two storeys and three windows. The windows are two-light flush casements with small panes, and there are two boarded doors in broad frames, each topped with a flat hood supported by shaped brackets. The ground floor includes three- and two-light casement windows.
