Description
This barn, located to the rear of Number 37, is a late 17th-century structure now used as an ancillary building. It features a timber frame with three bays and a north aisle. The tie beam truss includes pegged ogee curved braces, and the posts are unjowled. The wall plate is constructed with a face-halved and bladed scarf joint. The roof is supported by rafters with side purlins and a ridge board, and it is clad in weatherboarding. The barn has modern ledged and braced doors, along with a modern window on the right side. The original roof is tiled. Number 37, built in the late 19th century, served as Gardener's Cottage for The Priory but is not of special interest.
