Description
The north range of the former malthouses at the junction with South Street, known as Peppers, dates back to 1843. This building is constructed of red brick with weatherboarded ends and features an old red tile and slate roof. It stands two and a half storeys tall. The west end has a gabled overhanging sack hoist topped with a weathervane. The center of the building includes segmental arched openings on both floors and two slated vents with flat tops towards the east. Inside the west end, there are exposed half-timbered walls. Adjacent to the west end is an early 19th-century house made of red brick with a slate roof, which is two storeys high and has five sash windows.
