Description

23A Hockerhill Street is an early 16th-century timber-framed building with modern plaster and roughcast walls, featuring wavy-edged boarding on the street gable. The structure has a T-plan, with the original part of the building forming the top stroke of the T at right angles to the street. The ground floor has a late 19th-century shop front, while the first floor has modern casement windows. Inside, there is a significant amount of exposed timber framing and a triple crown post roof. There are also later pitched roof additions at the rear.
