Description

Number 8 Dane Street is a 17th-century building featuring a timber frame with a plaster and painted brick front, topped with an old red tile roof. It stands two and a half storeys tall, with a central third storey that overhangs, supported by curved brackets for a sack hoist. The soffit displays two pargetted roses, along with other 17th-century pargetted armorial motifs on the walls. The building has 19th-century sash windows and a modern shop front on the north side. At the rear, there is a parallel timber frame pitched roof block.
