Description

22 Hockerill Street is a 17th-century timber-framed building that was refronted in the early 19th century. It features yellow stock brick and an old tile roof, standing two storeys tall. The first floor has six-over-six sash windows, while the ground floor has a canted bay window on the west side and a reeded door surround with a bracketed hood on the east side. At the rear, there is a timber-framed, weatherboarded extension that includes a pigeon loft. Inside, the building has a bread oven and 17th-century pargetting on the wall of the front range.
