Description

Two identical cemetery chapels were built in 1855 by C E Pritchett. They are positioned facing each other within the cemetery, where pathways extend outwards. The chapels are constructed with flint walls featuring rough granite banding and limestone dressings. They have steep slate tile roofs and an oblong plan, each being a single storey in height. They are designed in the Perpendicular style. Each front gable end features a Tudor-style door, foliated spandrels, and stops. A square window is set within the gable, containing four quatrefoils. There are three traceried windows on the sides and a three-light pointed window at the rear. The east chapel remains in use and has an open trussed roof.
