TEWIN HERTFORD ROAD (B1000) TL 21 SE (North side) Tewin 5/140 Barn and former Wheel 24.11.66 House about 70m WSW of Tewinbury Farm House (formerly listed as Tewinbury Farmhouse and certain outbuildings as marked on map) GV II

Barn. C18. Timber frame on brick base. Weatherboarded. Half hipped tiled roof. 4 bays with 1 bay added away from house. Gabled midstrey to yard on 2nd bay from house, double doors. Door in added bay. To rear catslide roof over aisle lean-to from all but bay nearest house. 3 bay wheelhouse extends to rear across River Mimram, weatherboarded and pantiled. Wheel removed, part of gearing survives. Interior: some curved braces from straight posts to cambered tie beams, angled struts clasp purlins.
