Description

The West Barn at Sawtrees Farm is an 18th-century barn constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarded exterior, topped with an old red tile roof. It features five bays and faces west, with a central gabled porch on the west side and double doors on the east side leading to the yard. The barn has unjowled peats, arched braces supporting the tie-beams, mid-height rails that are tenoned in line, and a clasped purlin roof with angled Queen-struts.
