House, now offices. C17 and C18, with C19 and C20 alterations. Timber-framed, plastered, with modillioned eaves cornice (part boxed out to form gutter) and old tiled roofs of 2 heights, left hand corresponding with structure of third bay of No.1 adjoining to the left (qv), and remainder corresponding with No.5 adjoining to right (qv). Cruciform narrow-brick chimneystack at right, set diagonally above base with moulded cornice and offsets also serves No.5. 2 storeys, with attic at left. 2 first floor flush-set sashes with glazing bars, ground floor has 1970s single and triple light sashes with glazing bars, and modern hardwood 6 panel entrance door in slim surround at left, all replacing C19 shopfront. INTERIOR: retains some C18 panelling and a bold moulded cornice on first floor front right hand room. Together with No.1 Priory Street (qv), and Nos 1 and 5 Baldock Street possibly formed the site of The Griffin Inn in mid C17.
