Description

This building is a byre located to the west of Judds in Great Hormead, dating from the 17th to 18th century. It features a timber frame set on a stepped red brick base, with dark weatherboarding and a steep hipped thatched roof. The structure is long with low walls and a tall roof, facing south and backing onto the street. It has jowled posts and straight braces supporting the tie-beams of the clasped-purlin roof. There is a row of doors on the south side leading into the yard. The building is included for its group value.
