Description

St Anne's Cottage is a house dating to the late 17th century, with an eastern bay added in the 18th or 19th century. The house has a timber frame on a black stucco plinth, and is coated in roughcast with a steep thatched roof. It is a 1 ½-storey, 3-cell house with an internal chimney plan, facing south. An eastern chimney sits between the west room and the hall. The front elevation has four windows and a central door, with a swept dormer window at the eaves. The windows are wooden casements with small panes – 3-light to the west part and 2-light to the east—along with a dormer window. A battened door leads up steps. The roof has side purlins.
