Description
Munden Parva is a rectory that has been converted into a private house. It dates from the 18th century and was heightened and extended at the rear in the 19th century. The building is constructed of grey brick and features a stone doorcase. It has a hipped slate roof with projecting boxed eaves. Originally, it was a two-storey house with a parapet, which has been raised to three storeys.
The south front has an irregular arrangement of four windows, with a Tuscan pilastered doorcase located under the second window from the left on the upper floors. The ground floor has two windows to the left of the door and three windows to the right. The windows are recessed sash types with flat gauged arches, featuring six over six panes and plastered reveals. The shorter sash windows on the top floor have a former moulded parapet coping at the sill level.
The entrance is now located in a shallow two-storey extension made of painted brick on the east end, which is three windows wide. This extension has deep segmented arched upper windows and panelled double oak doors in a moulded surround, flanked by two-light casement windows. There is also a lower two-storey wing at the rear.
