Description
The barn at Westfield Farm, built in the 18th or 19th century, is a tall, five-bay structure with a timber frame and weatherboard cladding facing south. It features a steeply pitched gabled roof that is now covered with corrugated iron. The central bay has opposed double doors. Inside, the roof has clasped purlins with only collars originally, but angled queen struts were added later. The posts are unjowled, and the braces to the tie beams have been renewed. There are cranked braces on the north side of the central bay. The door posts on the south side are inscribed with 'TC 1830' and 'IC 1830', which may indicate the date of renovation. There is also a modern opening in the east end.
