Description

GREAT GADDESDEN LEIGHTON BUZZARD ROAD (A4146) TL 0310 (West side) 10/135 Nos. 14, and 15 (Croeso) 26.1.67 (Former listed as No 14 Water End, No 15 Water End) GV II

A block of 2 houses. Early C18 or earlier, renovated in C19. Timber frame infilled with brick, yellow and plum. Ground floor brick cased. Steep old red tile roofs. A 1 1/2-storeys block facing N with casement windows and 4 gabled dormers at the eaves. Each house of 2 bays with an internal gable chimney at W end. Lean-to at W has exposed inside W end timber framed gable with jowled posts, straight braces to tie-beam, wide spaced timbers infilled with narrower red brick or brick-on-edge infill. Roughcast rear with 2 single-storey lean-to extensions.
