Description

Waterside Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th or early 18th century. The exterior is roughcast with a steeply pitched roof of old red tiles. The house has a two-story, two-cell layout, facing east, with an end chimney on each side. The north chimney has two flues and is a later addition. The front of the house has two windows on each floor, and a large gabled rustic porch. The windows are mostly 19th-century casements with flush frames and square heads. However, the ground floor south window is original to the 18th century, with a segmental arch, flush framing, rectangular leaded panes, and a wrought iron central casement. A single-story extension to the north has a steep roof of old tiles, partly roughcast and partly dark weatherboarding. The cottage was formerly known as Fishery Cottage.
