Description
Numbers 1A (Fields) and 1B (The Book Centre) are buildings from the 1820s located on Brocket Road in Hoddesdon. They feature a three-window range and are constructed with roughcast. The buildings have a low slate roof and are two storeys high. The original central door is half glazed and has echinus-moulded panels, topped with a flat hood supported by double-console brackets. On the first floor, there are 6/6-pane sash windows set in moulded surrounds. The buildings also have flat eaves that rest on curved brackets. They are included in the listing for their group value.
