Description
Wormley Rectory is a building that likely dates from the 17th century, with alterations made around 1730 and in the early 19th century. It features a timber frame that is plastered and roughcast, topped with an old tile hipped roof. The structure is L-shaped, with a cross wing adjacent to the road, and has two storeys plus attics.
The garden front, which faces the church, includes a central doorway that has a half-glazed, two-fielded panel door. This door is framed by an architrave, a pulvinated frieze, and a pediment, with a triple key block positioned above the architrave and frieze. The facade also displays a plaster floor band and quoins, along with five flush 19th-century sash windows.
On the northwest entrance side, there is a door surround from the 19th century with cut brackets, one 18th-century sash window, and various 19th-century sash windows. There are modern extensions on the southwest side.
