Description

The Wormleybury Monument, located on the south side of the lake in Wormley, is a Grade II* listed structure, likely designed by Robert Mylne around 1770. This monumental vase stands approximately 4 metres high and is made of Portland stone. The pedestal features a moulded base and a cavetto cornice. The urn itself has a lobe patterned underside, a fluted frieze adorned with two goats' heads as handles, and is topped with a mushroom-shaped finial that has a pineapple design.
