Description
The Rectory is a building that likely dates back to the 17th century, although it has been significantly altered and extended, particularly in the mid-19th century. The original structure consists of a single range built in two stages, featuring timber framing, with parts that are plastered and others that are cased in brick, topped with a plain tiled roof. It is two storeys high, with an attic in the front wing, and has various casement windows, including two pointed arch casements that face the churchyard.
The mid-19th century brick facade faces The Street and includes an extension on the right side, which features twin gables. To the left, there is a canted ground floor bay, while the right side has a two-storey square bay. At the rear, there is a doorway with a four-centre arched boarded and battened door. The front wings are equipped with flues that have circular shafts set on octagonal bases.
