Description
Easton House is a house dating from the 18th century, with earlier work at the rear and a mid-19th century wing also at the rear. It is constructed of colour washed brick and features a pantiled roof with crest tiles. The building has two storeys and a three-window range on the first floor, which includes three-light square leaded casements with pointed arched heads. The central doorway has an inset six-panel raised and fielded door, a rectangular fanlight with ornamental glazing bars, and an enriched frieze and cornice, along with panelled reveals. To the left, there is an impressive early 19th century shop front that features two shallow canted 15-pane bay windows, a central blocked doorway, and a rectangular fanlight with ornamental glazing bars. This shop front is supported by four carved console brackets that hold up an enriched frieze and cornice. The house has gable end stacks, each with two detached octagonal flues, and ornamental bargeboards on the gables.
