Description

White Cottage is a building that likely dates from the 17th century, featuring a timber frame with elements from the earlier 18th century and early 19th century on the front. The exterior is finished in painted stucco and topped with an old tile roof, presenting a gable end to the road. The structure has two storeys and attics.

The south elevation, which has three windows, includes a four-fielded, two-glazed panel door with a moulded architrave and a triglyph frieze. The first floor features sash windows with thick glazing bars, while the ground floor has 19th-century sash windows. There are also two modern box dormers.

The gable end has a single window and features a 19th-century wavy-edged bargeboard, an attic roundel, and a 12/8-pane window on the first floor. The rear elevation is partly weatherboarded and includes a central hipped roof stair tower and a lean-to on the east side.
