Description

Christ Church Front Railings, likely built between 1831 and 1832 by E. Blore, are cast iron railings located in front of the church along the east side of Theobalds Brook. The railings at the bridge feature leaf ornament finials, while tall octagonal posts at each end have traceried panels and ogee crocketed finials. The side posts are square with tracery and crenellation. The boundary rails on the east side consist of two horizontal bars and square posts at intervals topped with crocketed pinnacles. These railings are included for their group value.
